To ilic Editor, The Indian Medical Gazette. Sir,?During the past few years, tannic acid has come into considerable vogue for the treatment of burns. As House Surgeon in the Sir J. J. Hospital in Bombay in 1927-28 I had to treat many cases of burns, but was unsuccessful with tannic acid. I asked my chief, Mr. S. R. The goal of this study was to evaluate tannic acid as a coagulant in turbidity removal. Tests were designed using Taguchi method and carried out on the synthetic and natural turbid samples. In order to optimize turbidity removal by tannic acid, seven factors including pH, coagulant dosage, rapid mixing rate, slow mixing rate, slow mixing time, sedimentation time and initial turbidity were inves...

Aim: To determine the effect of different concentrations and application times of tannic acid on bond strength to dentin. Materials and Methods: Occlusal surfaces of 180 human molars were randomly divided into two groups of immediate shear bond strength evaluation and evaluation after 2 months of storage in collagenase solution. Each group was divided into 10 subgroups according to the solution...
متن کاملThe proliferation of fibroblast cells on the polycaprolactane-chitosan-tannic acid scaffold
Background and Objective: Tissue engineering is a new method for replacing damaged tissue components in order to improve its function. In this method, a porous scaffold mixed with polysaccharide and synthetic antioxidants is first produced and then stem cells are cultured inside it. In this study, the polycaprolactane-chitosan-tannic acid scaffold was used to reproduce the amount Fibroblast cel...

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of inclusion of tannic acid on some performance traits and nutrient digestibility in Holstein dairy calves. A total of 20 seven days old Holstein calves were randomly assigned to 4 experimental treatments with 5 calves each. The treatments were as follows: 1) basal diet formulated to meet all nutritional requirement of calves according to NRC (20...
